Finding the right timepiece...

A discontinued collection, pre-owned only. Launched in 2008, Quai de l'Ile was Vacheron Constantin's most experimental modern line, with two hooks: it was customizable (buyers chose case metals, dial, and hands to build their own), and it used banknote-style anti-counterfeiting security printing on translucent dials, including UV-reactive and hidden markings. The case was a soft cushion-tonneau shape. It didn't last past the 2010s. A genuinely unusual, tech-forward VC for a collector who wants something off the beaten path.
