The Vacheron Constantin Métiers d'Art Les Aérostiers Paris 1783, reference 7610U/000G-B210, is a distinctive timepiece that captures the imagination with its artistic craftsmanship. Released in 2018 as part of the Métiers d'Art collection, this watch celebrates historical balloon flights from the 18th century. The dial features a meticulously hand-engraved and micro-sculpted gold hot-air balloon set against a translucent plique-à-jour enamel background, paying homage to the pioneering balloon flight by Étienne de Montgolfier in 1783. The watch displays hours, minutes, day, and date through apertures driven by the calibre 2460 G4/1 movement, ensuring precision and reliability. Crafted from white gold, the case measures 40.0 mm in diameter and has a solid caseback, lending it a robust yet refined presence on the wrist. This model's unique design elements—such as the pink and white gold balloon adorned with intricate suns, zodiac signs, fleurs de lys, garlands, insignia, and an eagle—highlight traditional craftsmanship techniques. As part of a limited edition series of just five pieces per version, it embodies both exclusivity and an appreciation for horological art.
