The Vacheron Constantin Historiques American 1921, reference 82035/000J-9964, is a tribute to the stylistic audacity of the Roaring Twenties. Released in 2014 as part of the Historiques collection, this watch features a distinctive 40 mm cushion-shaped case crafted from 18-carat yellow gold. A nod to its historical predecessor, the crown is intriguingly positioned at 1 o'clock, and the dial presents time diagonally. The sandblasted dial showcases black Arabic numerals and a railway track minute circle, complemented by black oxidized 18-carat gold hands. A transparent caseback reveals the mechanical manual-winding Calibre 4400, renowned for its exceptional craftsmanship and certified by the Hallmark of Geneva. This movement operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers an impressive power reserve of approximately 65 hours. Completing the design is a dark brown alligator leather strap with a pin buckle in yellow gold shaped like a half Maltese Cross, aligning with the watch's elegant and original dandy-style ethos.
