The Vacheron Constantin Historiques Cornes de Vache 1955, reference 5000H/000P-B058, was first introduced in 2015 as part of the prestigious Historiques collection. This timepiece features a platinum case with a diameter of 38.5 mm, offering a modern interpretation of the classic 1955 reference 6087. The watch is notable for its distinctive lugs, designed in a teardrop or cow's horn shape that adds a touch of elegance and historical homage to its appearance. Its dial is characterized by a silvered opaline center and a sun-brushed external zone, where the minute track and tachymeter scale reside, with hour markers crafted from 18k white gold. The transparent caseback reveals the caliber 1142 movement inside, which is Vacheron Constantin's interpretation of the renowned Lemania 2310. This caliber not only underpins the watch's chronograph function but also carries a legacy shared with other esteemed movements like Omega’s caliber 321. While not officially labeled as a limited edition, this model is set to be produced in highly exclusive numbers, reflecting its unique blend of historical design and modern craftsmanship.
