A revived heritage line, and one of the more exciting things Seiko has done lately. King Seiko dates to the 1960s, when it was Seiko's higher-grade dress line and the in-house rival to what became Grand Seiko. Seiko brought it back, first as a 2020 limited reissue of the 1965 KSK, then as a full standing collection in 2022. The look is sharp and dressy: Zaratsu-polished cases with mirror-crisp edges, applied markers, and clean vintage lines. It runs mechanical (automatic), and it sits above Seiko's standard catalog but below Grand Seiko. If you want vintage Seiko elegance without Grand Seiko money, this is the sweet spot.
