WATCH PURSUIT
Finding the right timepiece...

REC is a Danish independent built on an unusual premise: make a watch from something that already had a life. Launched out of Copenhagen in 2015, the brand cuts its dials from salvaged icons and traces each one back to the exact donor vehicle. The P-51, made from reclaimed Ford Mustang metal, is where it started and still anchors the lineup. The 901 does the same with vintage Porsche 911s, the Cooper and Mark I with classic Minis, and the RNR with Land Rover restomods. Every watch carries the donor's original VIN and arrives with a card telling that car's story, so the dial you get is genuinely one of a kind. The Core Collection covers automotive-inspired designs for buyers who want the look without the reclaimed parts, at a lower price point. REC sits at the accessible end of the market and has found its audience among car enthusiasts and design-led buyers as much as lifelong watch collectors.
