The Patek Philippe Calatrava 5089G-023, also known as The Escalade Festivities model, was released in 2014 as part of the Calatrava collection. This limited edition watch commemorates the historic night in 1602 when the people of Geneva repelled an attack by the Duke of Savoy. The cloisonné enamel dial is hand-engraved and required between 15 and 28 enamel colors, with firings around 800°C. Embedded on the dial are silver and gold leaf, gold spangles, and gold dust. The case material is white gold, with a Hunter caseback and a diameter of 38.6 mm. The watch features the Caliber 240 ultra-thin self-winding movement and a sapphire-crystal back protected by a hinged dust cover engraved with “PATEK PHILIPPE GENEVE 175e Anniversaire 1839-2014”. This timepiece is part of a limited edition release and does not come with the anniversary box, deployant clasp, or commemorative coin.
