The Patek Philippe Calatrava 5089G-013, released in 2014, is a limited edition timepiece that showcases the oldest form of decorative art associated with watchmaking. The hand-engraved white gold dial features scenes of Geneva harbor and Lake Geneva barques, each requiring up to 108 hours of meticulous work using the en modelé technique. The depth of the engraving can reach up to three tenths of a millimeter, adding a unique and intricate touch to the watch. The 38.6 mm white gold case houses a sapphire-crystal case back with a hinged dust-cover engraved with “PATEK PHILIPPE 175e Anniversaire 1839 – 2014”, allowing the owner to admire the ultra-thin self-winding caliber 240 movement. This Calatrava model exudes elegance and sophistication, with its exquisite design inspired by a watercolor by contemporary artist Patricia Rinaldi.
