The dial is a true work of art, inspired by a painting by Louis Baudit, incorporating opaque, transparent, and opalescent enamel finishes. The intricate cloisonné enameling process uses 30 to 40 different colors and fine gold wire to create a detailed depiction of Lake Geneva barques. Inside the case lies the ultrathin self-winding caliber 240 movement. The sapphire-crystal back is protected by a hinged dust-cover engraved with “PATEK PHILIPPE 175e Anniversaire 1839 – 2014”.
