The Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M Master Chronometer, reference number 215.30.40.20.03.001, was released in 2016 as part of the Seamaster collection. This model pays homage to Omega's dive watch heritage and is designed with a maritime legacy in mind. The watch features a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and a blue ceramic dial with Arabic numerals and a date window at the 3 o’clock position. The blue ceramic unidirectional bezel with Omega Liquidmetal™ diving scale is mounted on a 39.5 mm stainless steel case, with an alveol screw-in caseback and a stainless steel bracelet with patented extendable foldover clasp. Water resistant to 600 metres / 2000 feet / 60 bar, the watch also has a helium-escape valve and is powered by the Omega Master Chronometer calibre 8800, which can be seen through the transparent caseback. This movement has passed the 8 rigorous tests set by METAS (The Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology) to achieve Master Chronometer status.
