Finding the right timepiece...

Montblanc's distinctive monopusher chronograph, now part of the Star Legacy collection. Named after Nicolas Rieussec, who demonstrated an early inking chronograph in 1821 to time horse races, this watch reads elapsed time in a way nothing else does: two rotating discs turn beneath fixed pointers instead of conventional sweeping subdial hands. It runs an in-house column-wheel movement with a generous power reserve and dual time zone. Montblanc has folded it under the Star Legacy name (as the Star Legacy Nicolas Rieussec), but it remains one of the brand's most recognizable and characterful watches.
