The IWC Portugieser Automatic IW500101, released in 2004, is a distinguished timepiece within the prestigious Portugieser collection. This model features a 42.3mm case crafted from elegant rose gold, exuding a warm and luxurious aesthetic. Its silver dial is thoughtfully designed with key functions, including a power reserve indicator located at 3 o'clock, a date display positioned at 6 o'clock, and small seconds at 9 o'clock. Initially powered by the caliber 50010 movement from its introduction until around 2005, later versions of this model utilized either the 51010 or 51011 movements. The transparent caseback offers an intriguing view into the intricate automatic movement within. The watch is characterized by its classic and sophisticated style, making it suitable for both formal and casual occasions. The IW500101 was succeeded in 2010 by the IW500113, which featured a red gold case in place of its predecessor's rose gold.
