Baume & Mercier Capeland

Baume & Mercier's vintage-inspired chronograph, now a legacy piece more than a growing line. The Capeland drew on 1940s racing chronographs: a round case around 42 to 44mm, a domed crystal, telemeter or tachymeter scales, and pump pushers, usually on an automatic chronograph movement. The line has thinned right down, so most of what you'll find is on the secondary market. The flyback and vintage-racing editions carry modest collector interest. A characterful choice for a chronograph fan who likes a retro look.
