Oysterdate is less a collection and more a corner of vintage Rolex you'll stumble into while browsing. In practice it comes down to two closely related models made from the 1960s into the 1980s, both pairing Rolex's waterproof Oyster case with a simple date window, and both hand-wound rather than self-winding, which is a genuine rarity for the brand. The cases are small by today's standards and the dial variety is enormous, from clean silver and black to bright colors and the odd novelty. It's one of the most affordable ways into a real vintage Rolex. Just remember these are old watches, so condition and originality matter far more than the name on the dial, you're buying the individual watch, not the reference.
