Rolex Datejust 36 Vintage

This is the Rolex you've seen a thousand times, even if you never clocked what it was. The Datejust has been the brand's everyday classic since 1945, the watch that tucked the date under a little magnifying bubble (Rolex calls it the Cyclops) and set the template everyone else followed. The fun is in the range: 31, 36, and 41mm, steel through solid gold, fluted bezel or smooth, dials from boardroom-safe to genuinely loud. Put it on the dressy Jubilee bracelet or the sportier Oyster and it changes character entirely. Few watches stretch this far, which is why the Datejust is the closest thing Rolex makes to a one-watch collection.
