Longines Longines Ultra-Chron

The Ultra-Chron is Longines' hi-beat diver, and it's one for the enthusiasts. It revives a 1968 model, but the real story is under the dial: a high-frequency movement running at 36,000 vibrations an hour, which makes for a smoother sweep and chronometer-grade accuracy. The rest is deep-cut vintage charm, a cushiony retro case, a domed box-sapphire crystal, warm old-radium-style lume, and a ceramic bezel. It's a small, focused collection rather than a sprawling one. This isn't the obvious first Longines, it's the one you graduate to once you know what a hi-beat movement is and why it's a quietly serious flex on the wrist.
