Cartier Panthère Cougar

Part watch, part jewelry, and one of Cartier's most beloved women's designs. The Panthere de Cartier takes the square Santos silhouette and softens it into a supple, articulated bracelet that pours over the wrist like fabric, the 'panther' link that gives the line its name. First a 1980s sensation, it was reissued in 2017 to an enthusiastic reception and has been a fixture of the bracelet-watch world since. It comes in mini, small, and medium sizes, in steel, two-tone, and gold, with jewelry-set versions at the top. Movements are quartz across the core line, because here the watch is as much an ornament as an instrument. It's the piece to know if you want Cartier's jewelry side on a watch dial.
