The Chronomat is Breitling's all-purpose steel sports watch, and lately the one it's pushing hardest. It dates to 1984, born from a chronograph Breitling built for Italy's Frecce Tricolori aerobatic team, and it's defined by two things you'll spot immediately: the four "rider tabs" studding the bezel and the beefy, sculpted "Rouleaux" bracelet of rounded links. Relaunched in 2020 with an in-house chronograph movement, it's the do-everything Breitling, tough enough for sport, polished enough for the office. It comes in steel, two-tone, and gold, across a wide run of dial colors. Think of it as the versatile middle of the lineup, the one that does a bit of everything well.
