Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph - The Beast

The Royal Oak Offshore is the Royal Oak with the volume cranked up. Launched in 1993 and nicknamed "The Beast," it took the elegant original, pushed the case past 42mm, and added chunky pushers, rubber, and a far more aggressive stance. Purists clutched their pearls at first, then it became an icon in its own right, the definitive big, bold sports watch of the 1990s and 2000s. Chronographs are the heart of the line, often in loud colors and exotic materials like forged carbon, ceramic, and rubber-clad steel. It wears bigger and louder than the standard Royal Oak by design. The Royal Oak is the one you wear to dinner; the Offshore is the one you wear to be seen.
