A.Lange & Söhne

A. Lange & Söhne is the standard-bearer for German haute horlogerie. Founded in Glashütte in 1845, nationalized under Soviet occupation, and reborn in 1990, the brand is known for movements assembled twice and finished to a standard that few manufactures attempt. The Lange 1, with its asymmetric dial layout and outsized date, is the brand's most recognizable design. The Datograph is widely regarded as one of the finest chronograph movements ever produced. The Saxonia covers dress watches from simple to complicated. The 1815 collection references the brand's founding year with classical chronograph and calendar pieces. The Odysseus is the brand's steel sport watch. The Zeitwerk introduced a mechanical jumping digital display unlike anything else in production. German watchmaking at its highest expression, built to challenge the assumption that Switzerland is the only home of serious watches.
